WORK // RAMIL MAKINANO S/S 14 LOOKBOOK

Last month I had the pleasure of working with a very talented team on Ramil Makinano's S/S14 Lookbook.

Ramil graduated from St Martins 2011, and was one of the five finalists in the Designer For Tomorrow 2012 show.
The S/S 14 collection is colourful, strong and in your face. There is a harmonious balance between the soft fluid silk printed short and shirts and the dramatic warrior goddess-like sculptural midi dresses.

Ramil's textile illustrations are vibrant, busy and quirky. They have a certain magic eye, hypnotising effect. Its like having your very own version of an acid trip printed on beautiful luxurious silk. Its worth also noting that Ramil's use of textures and choice of future fabrics is phenomenal, and no doubt Ramil will have an excellent future in fashion. Cant wait to see his new collection.
