WEEKEND OF LOVE // CELEBRATING LOVE AND LOVING ONE ANOTHER

Hi all,

Hope you have all had a splendid week and looking forward to a weekend of love.

So happy for it to finally be the weekend. I have had one of those god awful weeks where I have spent most of my time doing admin and paperwork . My week has consisted predominantly of various longwinded and frustrating phone calls to Vodafone, Lloyds, HSBC, WorldPay, car dealerships the list goes on.   All these awful big companies who continue to have absolutely no idea about giving customer service over the telephone - its basically just 'computer says no' and this surpasses any level of common sense or intelligence that these employees ever had or ever will have. And as a result your day is spent waiting on hold and before you know it you have wasted a few hours being passed from one customer service agent to another with absolutely nothing to show for it other than having repeated yourself about 50 times.

Now that I have had the refunds organised, a new bank account that is finally being sent to the right address,a phone bill no longer includes the extortionate £10 insurance fee and we are one step closer to a new car  I feel like that cold glass of bubbles and romantic evening with my husband is truly well deserved. With babysitter booked, a new dress laying flat on the bed (bought months ago but never ever got a chance to wear it)  and a bottle of champers in the fridge I feel like we can finally give each other the time we deserve.

Its no secret that having kids spoils any sort of romanticism in your relationship. You hardly get a chance to hear yourself think, let alone have any kind of grown up conversation. Bedtime consists of rolling over, switching off the light and wishing one another 'good luck' for who ever's turn it is to do operation 'babywake'. Its also important to note that our current bedtime is currently 8pm because any later than that and the following day will become absolute torture.

With severe lack of sleep and there absolute nil patience (said in french accent), I think we can all agree when we say that its easy to get short with one another and not really appreciate the small things we do for one another.

So for this weekend of Love.. We are taking out some time to enjoy each others company, starting by booking a table at a restaurant to enjoy an adult conversation and telling each other how much we love one another.

To mark the occasion I have ordered some really sweet cushions from Etsy  (pictured above).

We are gonna heed the advice given and definitely be eating more bacon, and will try to have more sex :)

We are also gonna focus on spending time as a family, so long walks in the woods, making pancakes, because we totally missed pancake day this week  and watching lots of Netflix.

Hope you are all doing something special this weekend to show your other half you love them?
