DIY // ORGANIZE // VINTAGE TOOLS CHEST CONVERTED TO JEWELLERY BOX

Another prime example of how I hoard. I buy something and only take it out of the garage 6 months later to find a use for it!

I bought this vintage tools chest from Bath and West Giant Flea Market for £15. It was really beaten up and had a horrible layer of laminate wood which i had to peel off and sand down. Sorry no pics of it before.

I still want to do some renovation to it - maybe painting the drawers with some chalk paint, or using some vintage wallpaper samples to line the inside/or outside, add some new cute mismatched handles. Also would be good to put some legs on it and use as a sidetable. Will keep you posted! :)

In the meantime I filled it as quickly as i could with all my old jewellery and found a spot for it to see how it works. Amazing, i mean these pics were taken about a week so things not been put back as neatly but i am the kinda throw in the bowl jewellery girl so feels nice to not have to detangle my chains every morning.

If you put workmans chest, builders chest into ebay then you will find loads. But your best bet are flea markets and car boot sales.

happy hunting/ happy hoarding!
