On Saturday I was invited to come backstage at Markus Lupfer SS16 Presentation at London Fashion Week to see the wonderful Skyn Iceland products in action.
Skyn Iceland was founded by Sarah Kugelman who saw a need for a product range that could target the effects of stress on our skin. Sarah travelled to Iceland, where she drew inspiration from its abundance of natural resources with its mineral rich waters, antioxidant powered berries, soothing algaes, replenishing mosses, immune boosting Angelica Archangelica, and the amazing Camelina Sativa Plant which forms the basis of the Arctic Face Oil made from 99.9% Camelina Oil.
We caught up with Lucy Burt (Head Make UP Artist represented by D+V Management) who gave us the lowdown on the inspiration behind the look and the selection of products she used.
"Today's look is all about natural, fresh, illuminant skin. We wanted to try emulate the textures and colours running through the collection with an uncovered, transparent make up look."
What are the key products you are using today?
"Today, we have focused on the skin, to create a really strong fresh base using products from Skyn Iceland. Starting by thoroughly massaging the Pure Cloud cleanser into the skin and removing with hot towels. We then applied the Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gel to the girls, and finished by massaging the Arctic Face Oil into the models skin. The Arctic Face Oil works as a really great base for the make-up. It hydrates and nourishes the skin without being too oily and lets the other products melt into the skin. For the make-up we have mixed up a silvery eye liner and applying that to the top of the eyeline after curling the lashes and finishing off by elongating the eye with some silver PVC gems."
Need these in my life!
The finished look.

It was a great experience to see the Skyn Iceland products in action, and I am already a huge fan of the Arctic Face Oil. Its right up there on my wish list from Santa. Those Hydro Cool Firming Gels are just what every sleep deprived /busy /working mumma needs in her life too.
Have any of you tried these fabulous products? Would love to hear how they worked for you.
