One thing that makes me incredibly grateful to be living in the English Countryside is the sheer volume of stunning places to take the kids. We have been grateful for our National Trust membership and only just around the corner from our abode we have Montacute House, Lytes Cary Manor, Barrington Court, and Glastonbury Tor. All excellent locations for long walks, picnics and pottering about. :)
Someone said to me the other day that having boys is like leading a herd of labradors. Well she couldn't be more spot on. They are loyal, cuddly, need constant exercise and playtime and are always hungry. :)
Its half term and I have had days this week where its got to 1pm and we haven't even got out of our pjs ( in my eyes this is totally acceptable if you have been up all night on baby duty and you are feeling pretty whacked out). Within hours turns our house turns into a tip, the boys start going a little cray cray, sofa cushions start getting thrown around the room, the noise level goes up a notch and injuries begin to unfold. But today was not one of those days. We got our S*** together and packed up on out to get some glorious sunshine and a good run around with our gorgeous pack of children.
Its days like this that makes me so happy to call Somerset my home.
Hope all you mummas have been enjoying 'Half Term' and keeping sane. I have to say I am enjoying time with the boys BUT MY HOUSE is a tip!
bon weekend everyone..
